A Summer of Wildcat Camp Fun!

From soaring drones and battling robots to gourmet culinary creations and high-energy sports, the district was buzzing with activity, learning, and fun all summer long. With a variety of morning and afternoon camp sessions available over several weeks, campers of all ages were able to mix and match activities to explore new interests, hone their skills, and create lasting memories.
Future Scientists & Tech Innovators
Hands-on exploration took center stage across our STEM and technology programs. In Science Camp, campers going into grades 1 through 6 dove headfirst into the world of discovery. Young scientists spent every day thinking, experimenting, and exploring. They went from examining small microscopic worlds to viewing the expanse of the night sky by gazing at stars in the Star Lab. At Coding & Innovation Camp, creativity met cutting-edge tech as campers tackled design challenges using LEGO builds, 3D printers, 3Doodler pens, and robotics.
During Battle Bots Camp, students turned engineering principles into high-stakes excitement as they built custom robots from kits and refined their designs for the ultimate showdown in the Battle Circle. The week of engineering the perfect robot battle machine culminated in a grand finale bracket tournament where students put their strategy and creations to the test. Meanwhile, in Drone Technology Camp, students took to the skies to learn drone programming and piloting. Even when poor air quality alerts brought activities indoors, the flight plans didn't stop - campers maneuvered obstacle courses through school hallways.
Creative Arts, Culinary & Fashion
Expression and craftsmanship flourished as students explored various artistic interests. Young fashionistas in Fashion Design & Sewing Camp brought their sketches to life, moving from initial concepts and pattern cutting to stitching original skirts, hair scrunchies, and bandana tote bags. Each week wrapped up with an exciting runway fashion show for proud families and friends.
At Wildcat Art, Theatre & Music Camp, campers embraced their inner performers and visual artists through an immersive mix of music, sculpture, creative crafts, drawing, painting, digital arts, photography, dance, and theater. The weeklong program gave campers in grades 2 through 8 the opportunity to get creative in three classes of their choice. In Culinary Camp, our young chefs followed along in personalized recipe books to whip up delicious new dishes both with and without an oven. A highlight of the program included a behind-the-scenes field trip to Chick-fil-A where students toured the kitchen, learned about the business, and saw the legendary milkshake machine in action.
Sports and Teamwork
Sports camps kept Wildcats moving all summer. At Wildcat Kiddie Camp our youngest campers in kindergarten through 2nd grade enjoyed an action-packed lineup featuring gaga ball, kickball, scooter ball, basketball, tag, dance, and arts & crafts. Over at Wildcat Sports Camp for grades 3 to 9, athletes took over Whitman for an incredible range of sports and physical activities, including cheerleading, basketball, baseball, tennis, fencing, volleyball, lacrosse, track & field, flag football, soccer, pickleball, bowling, and golf.
Thank you to all of our incredible instructors, directors, staff, and families for making this an amazing summer. Look for another summer of fun Wildcat Camp offerings next year!
