As the first group of students to be recognized in 2024, these talented individuals have distinguished themselves in academic classes, earning the praise of the teachers and administrators alike. Congratulations to Whitman’s January 2024 Athletes of the Month, Christopher Rinaldi and Lexi Palazzo!
Christopher won the Section XI Singles Title which qualified him to compete in the Bowling State Championships, representing Suffolk County along with 5 other bowlers from the County. Christopher went on to be a part of the Section XI Composite team who won the New York State Championship. Chris placed 2nd amongst his teammates.
Lexi has led Whitman’s Cheerleading team to each of their 2nd place finishes this season. Her dedication and outstanding performance as a center flyer and her positive attitude and enthusiasm serve as an inspiration to her teammates. Her unwavering focus, exceptional balance, and impressive athleticism contribute significantly to the team's overall performance and success. Lexi's dedication not only elevates her own abilities but also raises the standard for the entire squad.
