The 13th Annual Hunting-Tony Awards

South Huntington is proud to recognize Walt Whitman’s winners at the 13th Annual Hunting-Tony Awards Ceremony that was held early this June at Huntington High School. This year, 13 Walt Whitman actors were nominated for 12 awards, as well as 9 production nominations. Walt Whitman took home awards for Best Female Vocalist, Best Supporting Actress in a Play and Best Supporting Actor in a Play!
 
 
Congratulations to Senior Julia Crapanzano on winning Best Female Vocalist for her role as Dorothy in Whitman’s spring musical, ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ to Senior Edward Pena on winning Best Supporting Actor in a Play with his five acting roles in Whitman’s fall production of ‘Love of a Pig,’ and to Sophomore Gracie DeMarinis for winning Best Supporting Actress in a Play with her role as Crystal in Whiman’s fall production of ‘Love of a Pig!’
 
 
This year’s performances showcased so many of our students and the talent level they possess, and we are fortunate to have had the opportunity to recognize those involved in making this year's program such a success. Congratulations to our nominees and award winners on a job well done!
