Three WWHS "delegates" returned from their mock legislative session in Albany this past weekend. Kaylee Vera, Carlos 'Rene' Saravia Umanzor, and Alexis Pineda Rivera were all selected by Eastern Suffolk BOCES to be part of the Suffolk County Delegation. Statewide, only approximately 200 students were chosen. Kaylee was even selected to be the Minority Leader! The students worked very hard and had a memorable experience. The students had a chance to network with Assemblyman Steve Stern and Phil Ramos, among others.
