There has been no doubt that the current pandemic has created a lot of uncertainty throughout the world, our country, and our community. Despite the setbacks that this situation has forced us to face, Walt Whitman High School’s dedicated staff and administration did their best to keep South Huntington’s traditions alive as they brought the 90th Commencement Ceremony to a new format. As we all wish we could celebrate our graduation ceremony in traditional fashion, amongst family and friends on the football field full of smiling faces and cheering onlookers, we’ve brought this year’s graduation to you virtually. Thank you to Principal John Murphy, the Board of Education, and all of the faculty and staff that made it possible for our graduating Seniors to be commemorated for their 13 year long educational journey and giving them a sense of normalcy and pride as we celebrate their collective achievements. It is through such hard work and dedication that our district’s valiant Wildcat spirit still shines.
