Varsity Football Advances

to County Championship Rematch

Congratulations to Varsity Football for a wild 35-29 win over a very tough Ward Melville team in the Suffolk County Semifinals, advancing to a County Championship rematch vs. William Floyd! This is the first 10-win season in program history! The running game dominated the 2nd half with Johnny Maldonado closing it out with 2 great drives behind the O-Line of Logan Elmore, Diego Romero, Liam Villanti, Xavier Ali, Belendjy Geneus and Luke Kannavos. Maldonado finished with 12 carries for 78 yards and 2 TDs and AJ Evans had 10 for 87 yards and a TD. The offense opened up the game with a Brandon Ivy 75-yard touchdown from Nicholas Bottoni on its first play! Bottoni finished 11/18 for 213 yards and 2 TDs and Ivy had 4 catches for 111 yards! Tyriek Mays-Mckoy had a huge 4th down touchdown catch and added 5 catches for 73 yards! On defense, Tyriek had 14 tackles and Jacob Somer had 11 tackles, 3 for loss, 2 key sacks, and a big-time 4th down stop in the 3rd quarter! The Team advances to play William Floyd on Friday night at 7pm at the Kenneth LaValle Stadium of Stony Brook University. Come out and support your Wildcats!

Tickets that are purchased online will need to be presented on your mobile device. There is no charge for children 12 years of age and under.
