Varsity Bowling

Winter Highlights

The bowling team this year had a solid mix of experienced bowlers and newcomers to the sport.  While protocols limited the number of athletes that could attend matches, we found a way to make it work for all involved.

This year was a year for the history books, with the team making it to the Suffolk County Championships for the 1st time in close to 20 years. Coming into the Championships as a huge underdog, the boys bowled well enough to finish 7th in the County. To single out one individual would be an injustice to all of the boys who competed in this tournament as it took an entire team to perform as well as they did; when one teammate struggled there was always another picking up the slack. Great job to our boys who bowled in the Suffolk County Championships: 7th grader Jose Duarte, 8th grader Chris Rinaldi, juniors Jordan Henkel and Ethan Shapiro, along with seniors Alejandro Duarte, Aiden Greenberg, and Joe Grasso.

Congratulations to the entire team on a memorable season. We hope this garners interest from some serious bowlers to come out for the team next year and continue the success that we had this year!
