Everyone at Silas Wood joins together to congratulate Teacher of the Year, Mr. Kevin Connolly! Mr. Connolly has been teaching Math at Silas Wood for the past 26 years, following a few years as a NYC school teacher, and a brief stint in Amityville. When he arrived at Silas Wood, Mr. Connolly quickly made the South Huntington District his home. Students assigned to his classes consider themselves to be fortunate indeed, finding his lessons not only engaging but very enjoyable - - in large part due to his animated manner and the often-silly jokes for which he is well known. Mr. Connolly and his wife Laurie live in Northport with their sons Brendan (16) and Aidan (15). Congratulations to Mr. Connolly from South Huntington and the entire Silas Wood family!
