Unified Basketball v. Hills East

Monday

Congratulations Boys Varsity Tennis: The Team beat Smithtown West and Smithtown East over the weekend. Singles winners included Noah Ramos, Tom Baranowski, Gracyn Speter, and Aarav Shah. Doubles winners included Tom Breaton, Zach Gerson, Gavin Fisch, Bryce Vorbach and Adam Tabibzada. The Team is 4-1 in League play as of this past weekend.

Congratulations Varsity Softball:  Great win Saturday over Copiague by a score of 16-1.  Emma Dermody won her first career varsity game allowing 2 hits while striking out 7. Brianna Lacavone was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s and 2 runs scored.  Emily McGowan had a 4-hit day and drove in 8 runs.  Jordan Badalamenti and Emily Rollman each scored 4 runs and threw the ball with extra mustard. The team goes up against Connetquot on Monday at home at 4:30.

Congratulations Varsity Baseball:  On Friday, the Team beat Huntington 7-5 led by the great pitching of Grant Biederman who threw 7 innings for the win. Kyle Owens had 4 hits to lead the offense to victory.  The Team played home on Monday vs. North Babylon.

Congratulations Girls Track: The Team defeated Lindenhurst 73-63. 1st place winners included Grace Weigle (1500m), Lizzie Schreiber (200m and Triple Jump), Marie St. Charles (400m), Carly McEntee (High Jump), Alyssa Katwala (Discus), Ashley Wuss (800m), Molly Dugan (shot Put) and personal bests were recorded by Kelly Breaton and Tashu Georges.  Congratulations on a great team effort.

Tuesday

Congratulations Boys Track:  On Monday the Team defeated Lindenhurst 78-53. Leading the Wildcats was Chris Davis who won the high jump. Jovany Philippe won the intermediate hurdles. Joe Tonna won the 400 meters. Jack Fallon and Ryan Hansen both broke 5 minutes in the 1600.  Congratulations!

Congrats Boys Varsity Tennis:  The Team beat Huntington 6-1 to move to 6-1 in League play.  Singles winners included Noah Ramos, Tom Baranowski, and Gracyn Speter.  Winning their doubles matches were Aarav Shah and Jeremy Lanz, and Tom Breaton and Zach Gerson.

Congratulations Girls Varsity Lacrosse: ...on a shutout win against Copiague.  Goals were scored by each of our twelve offensive players. The team played with class and patience throughout.  The coaches would like to thank seniors Dana McGowan and Zoe Scwandtner for super leadership.  The Team faces a tough Middle Country this week.

Congratulations JV Baseball:  The Team completed the first half of the season, playing nine games in the last 17 days. The Wildcats beat Bay Shore and Lindenhurst, scoring a whopping 26 runs in 2 games behind the team’s leading hitters Paul McNally, Jake Borysowski, Kevin Brown, and JD Harrison. The highlight of the season so far was a complete game 1-hit shutout of Huntington pitched by Kieran Bock last week.

Congratulations JV Girls Lacrosse: Another dominating win brings the Team's overall record to 8 wins 1 loss. Goalie Stacy Rosales earned her first shut-out. Great daily defense is played by Isabella Winch, Kallie Eichner, Sofia Caporusso and Katelyn Adams, who with our midfielders, have held our opponents to only 39 goals in 9 games.  Also dominating play are Noelle Decker, Cortney Magee and Emma Creighton.  Attackers Juliet Boccia, Dani Probst, Nayira Kabarajian, Natalie Biryla and Angie Caparusso have collectively scored 129 goals in 9 games.  The Team has outscored its opponents this season 129-39.

Congratulations JV Softball:  The Team redeemed itself with a win against Connetquot 7-5. Pitching 7 straight innings was Riley McDonnell who also hit a triple. Awesome defensive plays were made by Ali Mauro, Ariana Aramburu and Anastasia Novinksi.  Hits were by Jewels Panarello, Alexa Dikeakos, and Sarah McDowell. The Wildcats travel to Bay Shore this Friday at 4pm.

Wednesday

Congratulations Varsity Baseball:  The Team defeated 1st place Bay Shore yesterday by a score of 10 to 5. After trailing 4-0 the team rallied back to win led by Tyler Mazadarian who pitched in relief and added a bases-loaded double to put the Team ahead 6-5. Connor Asma doubled in 2 more runs. Issac Rodriquez also contributed 3 hits and led the defense.  The Team plays Connetquot on Saturday.

Congratulations Unified Basketball:  The Unified Basketball team played a thrilling overtime game against Hills East yesterday.  Down 3 with 12 seconds left, Francis Charles hit a deep 3 pointer to tie the game and send it to overtime. Jose Chavez led the team with a huge 16 points and Alvin Yam continued his hot streak adding 14 points.  Seniors Josh Arevalo, Peter Humann, Chris Schindler, Danny DiLeo and Ruhullah Halimi were all leaders on the court and played great.  The team ends its season Thursday at Amityville.  Go Wildcats!

Congratulations JV Boys Lacrosse:  The Team beat Longwood yesterday 10-6 led by Luca Cuozzo with 4 goals and 2 assists and Gabe Beickert with 2 goals and 4 assists.  Kieran Davis also made 14 saves.
