Senior Faculty

Sports Night 2021

Thank you to the faculty for being good sports and to Mrs. Zamow and the Senior Class Officers for organizing another great event!

Before Thanksgiving break, the WWHS senior class took on the faculty in an exciting and entertaining series of sporting events in Whitman’s south gym. The annual Senior Faculty Sports Night is always an anticipated event as our seniors look to even-out a few grade points and our faculty break out their old sweat bands and gym sneakers to show the students that they too have a history of athleticism.

In one of the most competitive Seniors Versus Faculty Sports Nights in memory, we think it is fair to say fun was had by all.  From volleyball to basketball, tug-of-war to musical chairs, each event featured over the top competitive play for a chance at winning this year’s bragging rights.

Thank you to the faculty for coming down to compete and to Mrs. Zamow and the Senior Class Officer team for organizing the event. The event winner went down to the final tug in tug of war.  This year’s Senior Faculty Sports Night win goes to… the Senior Class!

The Mission Impossible obstacle course revealed the true inner-workings of each team’s ability to strategize, and sabotage, their opponents.

Dodge Ball really brought the energy out of the seniors as they all came together for a shot at their favorite teachers.

This year’s events were highly competitive and had spectators cheering from the edge of their seats.

The evening ended with two rounds of tug-of-war, the first in which the teachers took the win. As for the second round, the seniors prevailed and claimed victory for the evening by a small margin, but nonetheless, a well deserved win.

The games were fierce, but fun was had by all.  Thank you to all the students and teachers who came out for this fun evening.
