Just before the holidays at Walt Whitman High School, Girl Scouts Angelina Todaro, Paige Mac Pherson, and Emily Lewin were recognized for their community service throughout the pandemic. Each young lady earned the President’s Silver Volunteer Service Award in recognition of their 90 hours of service and contributions. For Emily, that meant completing her community service at an animal rescue, as well as at a local domestic violence shelter. Angelina created and distributed masks at St. Elizabeth’s in Melville to help protect others during the pandemic. As for Paige, she mentored younger Girl Scouts by hosting meetings, bake sales, and completing service within her church community. Thank you Emily, Angelina, and Paige for selflessly helping those in need in our community!
