Powder Puff Win

for the Class of 2022

The Powder Puff football game is a unique and longstanding tradition that showcases Whitman spirit at its finest.

Congratulations to all participants in last Friday night’s Powder Puff game. The event stood as one of the highest attended evenings of the year, and from the looks on everyone’s faces, it's easy to see why the annual Powder Puff football game between the seniors and juniors is a fan favorite. The game is a unique and longstanding tradition that showcases Whitman spirit at its finest.

The halftime entertainment reached well above expectations at our annual event. With few wardrobe malfunctions and the occasional wig taking flight at the 50-yard line, the junior and senior boys’ performances were sights to behold - and they did not disappoint. Their choreographed dances with colorful tutus and fresh make-up has always been a highlight of the spirited event. The humor and lightness of the charade was not lost on the audience.

Congratulations to the Seniors for making a statement and capping off a great football game with a resounding 4th quarter onslaught. The Seniors also took the cheerleading competition in grand fashion. Thank you to Mrs. Latko, Mr. Graziano, Mr. Costa, Mr. Varlamos, and all the advisors and chaperones for making the evening such a great success. Congratulations to all of Walt Whitman’s participants on a fantastic evening!
