Recently Walt Whitman High School hosted the Long Island Reef Association and Science Research Coral Expo. Over 600 people attended the event from 11am to 5pm and it was a huge success! This event gave students the opportunity to create great research collaborations while being inspired by the beautiful aquatic displays. Half of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the high school’s science research club. Thank you to Whitman’s science research students and parents, Mr. Karavias and our staff for being such a huge help.
This year's coral reef expo had such a great turnout and was a wonderful opportunity for our students. Thank you to all of the vendors and those who helped make this year's event so successful!
