Grant Biederman

Signs to Play for Pace

We want to extend our congratulations to Grant Biederman on signing up to play baseball for Pace University! Grant is a senior at Walt Whitman High School who has been playing baseball for as long as he can remember. Since his sophomore year, Grant has been on Whitman’s Varsity Baseball team, pitching as well as playing in the outfield, and has played with various travel teams as well. He fondly remembers when he and his teammates made it to the playoffs and he revels in exceeding the expectations of others who were skeptical of how far the team could go. Despite the school closures that put a halt to the spring baseball season in 2020, Grant has not let the lockdown slow down his training. He makes sure to stay in optimal physical shape by hitting the gym and engaging in exercises specifically fashioned for pitchers. As he continues his final year at Walt Whitman, Grant will miss the Whitman atmosphere and the people who make it so special, but still looks forward to bringing his team as far as they can go. As he gets ready to play for Pace, he is eager to make an impact in their baseball program while he intends to study business there. His advice to his fellow teammates? “Work as hard as possible. It’s definitely a very challenging time but it’s time to give it all you got.”

Congratulations, Grant!
