The Girls Winter Track team completed both a fun filled, challenging season. All five Dual Meets were contested outdoors with temperatures ranging from 23 degrees to a high of 40 degrees!
Elizabeth Schreiber was the team top point scorer, winning the 300m dash and Triple Jump. Senior Captain Grace Weigele ran a season best 5:15 in the 1500m and was also selected as News 12 Scholar Athlete. Alyssa Katwala and Emma Kowalczyk both recorded personal records in the 1000m and 3000m races.
The 4x200m Relay team consisting of Senior Captain Aniyah Walters, Jessica Doddo, Marie St. Charles, Lizzie Schreiber, Carly McEntee finished the season with a 4 - 1 record.
Newcomers, Doonya Sylvain, Carly Mineo,Keira Conlon, Adia Estavez, Tashou Georges, Sienna Guerrero, Wilbensa Guirand and Ashli Wuss all ran well and gained valuable experience that will contribute to the 2021 Spring season.
Last year's 300m State Champion, Gianna Paul, suffered an ankle injury that sidelined her most of the season. We look forward to her running again this spring.
