Cohen Children’s Medical Center holds a very special place in our hearts, especially at Countrywood Primary Center. One of our own students is currently receiving treatment as they battle cancer and Countrywood wanted to give back to the programs and services that help support all of the patients at Cohen’s.
In order to show their love and support for this student and their family, the primary center hosted “Countrywood’s Ice Cream for a Cause.” For $12, those who donated received 12 scoops of nut-free ice cream, 4 cones, and 3 toppings. Thanks to the support and donations from our wonderful community, Countrywood was able to raise over $3,300!
Proceeds from Countrywood’s Ice Cream for a Cause fundraiser will be used by Social Workers at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY to help families with children being cared for there. These amazing Social Workers work one on one to ensure that basic needs like food, clothing, transportation, etc. are being met. These donations will positively and directly impact a family so they can focus on their child getting well.
Thank you to our Countrywood faculty and staff for organizing this extra sweet initiative and to our community for supporting such a wonderful cause!
