"A Sweet Adventure"

for Whitman's Winter Guard

Earlier this month, Walt Whitman High School’s Winter Guard and Drum Line performed for the last time this school year. The production showcased the culmination of a great season and highlighted an honorable farewell to their outgoing Seniors for all their contributions to the program.

The Winter Guard finished their competitive season at the annual championship competition in Allentown, PA, and brought their show “A Sweet Adventure” back to Whitman for their parents and hometown audience to enjoy for one last time. As they completed this season of wonderful performances, the Marching Band looks forward to the 2022/23 program theme that was announced will be “A Journey in Time.”

Concluding the final home show, Marching Band Directors Greg Modelewski and Sean Lucas were fortunate to bestow a scholarship provided by NYSFBC to one of Whitman’s seniors. It was an incredibly difficult decision given how special this senior class is, and they were honored to announce Paige Kessler as the recipient of this scholarship. Congratulations to Paige and to seniors Anabelle Muellers, Dayhana Herrera Salazar, and Olivia Macchiarola on an incredible journey, and to all of the members for a successful season!
