South Huntington is proud to recognize Walt Whitman’s winners at the 12th Annual Hunting-Tony Awards Ceremony that was held early this June at Huntington High School. This year, Walt Whitman was nominated for 11 awards and won Best Crew in the play The Crucible, Best Choreography in the musical Legally Blonde, and Sophomore Jaren Smullian won Best Supporting Actor in the musical Legally Blonde.
“I am thoroughly proud of my entire staff, cast, crew and pit,” shared WWHS Theatre and Dance instructor, Ms. Turner-Radin. “It has been a rough few years for the education community and these productions delivered the inspiration, laughter, and magic we all needed.”
This year’s performances showcased so many of our students and the talent level they possess, and we are fortunate to have had the opportunity to recognize those involved in making this year's program such a success. Congratulations to our nominees and award winners on a job well done!
