2024 PTA Reflections Winners Recognized

Written by Liz DeMonte | Apr 18, 2024 7:23:19 PM

The South Huntington Council of PTAs was proud to partner with each of our school building PTAs for this year's Reflections Art Recognition program. We are proud to congratulate the six South Huntington students who were winners at the NY State level of this annual contest! Congratulations to Patrick Acierno, Gianna Pantina, Julianna Key, Sadie Singer, Emma Lucana, and Morgan O’Donoghue!

Each year, the program accepts entries in the visual art, literature, photography, film production, music composition, and dance choreography categories. PTA Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home.

Each year students of all grades and abilities are invited to submit up to six projects, limited to a maximum of one project in each category. Students had the opportunity to explore the 2023-2024 theme “I am Hopeful Because…” and we were thrilled at the number of submissions from all of this year's participants!

Thank you to all of our students who submitted to this year’s contest! We wish the best of luck to Birchwood student Patrick Acierno and Maplewood student Gianna Pantina as they move on to be judged at the National PTA level!

It is an honor to have their amazing work be presented and recognized. All are welcome to view our students' amazing Reflections submissions at the South Huntington Public Library during the month of April in the downstairs art gallery.
