"We cannot thank Ten Tigers Kung Fu Academy enough for their fourth year sponsoring Meredith's Anti-Bullying assembly,” said Mr. Nober (left in photo).

Teen pop star and anti-bullying icon Meredith O'Connor gave a special assembly at Walt Whitman’s Performing Arts Center last month. But it wasn’t the high school students she was singing to. Busloads of sixth-graders piled into the PAC to hear Meredith’s strong message about anti-bullying.  “Last week’s assembly was a huge success and a lot of fun,” said Silas Wood Principal Stephen Toto.  “Meredith's songs, music, and anti-bullying message were embraced by all of the students.  Her music and singing inspired our students to take a stand against bullying.  Students were singing and dancing in their seats and cheering for Meredith as she performed for them.”

Ten Tigers Kung Fu Academy, located on Jericho Turnpike next to the Best Market, sponsored Meredith’s concert in its entirety. South Huntington’s Director of Special Projects Lee Nober has been working with Ten Tigers and is impressed with their commitment to the District.   "We cannot thank Ten Tigers Kung Fu Academy enough for their fourth year sponsoring Meredith's Anti-Bullying assembly,” said Mr. Nober.  “Clearly, they are committed to offering parents and students many self-esteem building options and strategies."
