Once again, our South Huntington School District is proud to partner with Dolores Thompson and the Huntington Enrichment Center to host the annual Awareness Unity Day celebration.  This exciting program, which features a star-studded parade, fair, rides, music, food, and fun, has shined a bright spotlight upon our accomplishments and showcased the diverse people and programs that make us strong. We were thrilled last year to have increased community group participation from across the township, and look forward to welcoming marchers and honorees from Huntington, Harborfields, Northport, and Elwood to this Saturday’s festivities. We invite you to join us along the parade route, which steps off from Huntington High School at 11 a.m. and proceeds down Oakwood Road to a brief ceremony and fun-filled fair at Stimson Middle School. Unity Awareness Day promises something for everyone, and we are thrilled to celebrate the rich culture and diversity that makes our township strong.

Also, stay tuned for the upcoming announcement of the 2018 Unity Awareness Day Honorees.
