Congratulations to Senior research students Colby Goldsmith and Gretel Huber who have been invited back for round 2 of the Long Island Science and Engineering Fair (LISEF.) LISEF is a competition for the most advanced high school projects, where participants have a chance to present to professionals in their subject areas. On the first day of presentations, all students present their work to at least two judges. Individuals and teams compete within the same category to try advancing to the 2nd day of presentations. Colby and Gretel have advanced to round 2 where they will present their biomedical engineering research project titled “Topical Lidocaine-Iodopovidone Conglomeration for Rapid Analgesia to Prevent the Development of Phobias and Ensure Ease of Procedure.” The second round of presentations will be held at the Crest Hollow Country Club on March 12th. If they win in their category, they will qualify for the International Science and Research Fair. We wish Colby and Gretel the best of luck as they continue on to present their research!
