The Walt Whitman Wrestling team spread some extra joy this holiday season during their time at Angela’s House, a non for profit organization that identifies families caring for their children who may have a severe disability or medical condition in order to help them obtain supportive services to improve the quality of life for the children and their families. The staff and caregivers at each Angela’s House location are determined to ensure that the children’s everyday lives are happy and filled with joy. This year, the wrestling team made sure to be a part of this unified goal. They collected toys for all the girls and boys and personally delivered these toys to Angela’s House in Smithtown. Santa even made a surprise appearance to help make the event especially memorable for the children. Before they left, senior wrestler Joseph Feola read “Twas the Night Before Christmas” and the whole team sang “Felix Navidad” for all to enjoy. This was a truly heartwarming experience and we are so proud to see Whitman’s wrestling team give back to the community and spread awareness of this life-changing organization.
