The students and faculty of Silas Wood are hosting their first ever "Peace Out" week.  During this time several activities will be taking place.  Listed below are the activities that the students & teachers will be taking part in:

1.Corridor Name & Class Name:  Each hallway had the opportunity to choose a name relating to peace.  Each homeroom picked a name and each team made a banner.  The building looks beautiful!!!

2. Essay Contest: Students will be writing an essay on what peace means to them.  The deadline is April 25th, 2001.  Good Luck To All!!!

3. Team Unity Silhouette: Each team will be given a 4 ft. silhouette to write the definition of peace on one side.  Students will then sign their names on the other side of the silhouette to affirm their commitment to peace.

4. Poster Contest: Students will draw a picture of what  peace would look like if they had it to put it in a box.

5. "Friendship Games" in P.E.
6. "Peace Out" Assembly May 3, 2:00 P.M.
7. "Peace Out" Social Dance May 4, 2001 after school
     3-4:30pm
