Important calendar change for grades 3-5 regarding Friday, February 6
The New York State Education Department has issued a change in the ELA scoring timeline. This change impacts our school calendar and has forced us to make some adjustments, particularly for Birchwood and Maplewood.  The scoring schedule is listed below.

Grades 3-5:  The scoring date is changed to Friday, January 30, 2009.  The snow date is Monday, February 2nd.   Birchwood and Maplewood will be closed.  All other schools in the district will remain open. 

Grades 6 - 8:   The scoring date for the NYS ELA assessment test will remain the same as on the district calendar.  Friday, February 6th, 2009  is the scoring date, and as stated, Stimson and Silas Wood will be closed.  All other schools in the district will remain open.

Should we have a snow day on February 6th, we will conduct the scoring on Monday, February 9th and school will be closed for Stimson and Silas Wood as well.  All other schools in the district will remain open.
