The objectives of the National Business Honor Society are to promote and recognize academic achievement in business education at the secondary level, foster and recognize leadership skills and character development, while helping members grow ethically and socially by promoting and encouraging an interest in business and encouraging member involvement in service learning initiatives.

National Business Honor Society Advisor Mrs. Sandy Stueber recognized the hard work put forth by her students. “Our 4 CEO’s, Olivia Giarratano, Andrew Harrigan, Sean Rankel, and Raj Shah did such an amazing job this year. It takes a special person to be able to balance sports, academics, high school life, and Virtual Enterprise and all of the responsibilities that come with being a CEO and I am blessed to have had 4 young adults that were able to excel in every aspect of their lives.”

With an emphasis on college and career readiness, Virtual Enterprise is an in-school, live, global business simulation that offers students a competitive edge through project-based, collaborative learning and the development of 21st-century skills in entrepreneurship, global business, problem solving, communication, personal finance and technology.

The two companies this year participated in many different competitions both regional and national. In the national competitions, Onward placed Top 10% in the Online Elevator Pitch Competition, Top 25% in the Company Newsletter Competition, and received an honorable mention for their website. Apollo Corp received an honorable mention for the Branding Competition. These competitions were against over 1,000 Virtual Enterprise firms.
