On Wednesday, April 17th, 2019, as part of a school-wide community effort, Walt Whitman High School held a rally against cancer to remember the life of former staff member Vin Altebrando.  The VA Rally also supports two of our current students afflicted with this terrible illness.  Over 1100 students participated, showing not only their admiration for a wonderful coach and teacher, but also for current members of our school family. The show of unwavering support for their classmates going through this difficult time is something to behold.  A special thank you to our WWHS Physical Education Department for their support in the planning of this event. This could not have been accomplished without them.
