The South Huntington Public Library held a dedication ceremony on Friday evening December 7th for the grand opening of their new Teen Space. This new space creates an attractive 1,000 square feet of developmentally appropriate space for young adults that includes; more varied seating options, room for displaying youth art, access to popular technology, and most important, space that respects and promotes healthy social experiences for young people.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was followed by a welcome speech by Joseph Latini, Library Director, as well as remarks and presentations by members of the Library Board of Trustees, library teen staff and Friends of the Library president, Marge Vezzani. There were performances by the Library Teen Theater Troupe and live music by ‘Roadhouse,’ a band consisting of talented local high school musicians.
