In Mrs. Finnegan and Mrs. Galano’s class at Oakwood, we have been fortunate enough to be able to try different forms of flexible seating in our classroom.
Flexible seating makes our classroom a fun place to learn! We replaced traditional desks with tables.  We started with “wobble stools” and floor cushions. This year, we were able to add balance ball chairs, high stools, and scoop rockers. There are other forms of flexible seating we want to try too. We want to make our classroom look more like home for our students! We have been very lucky to have the support of our building principal, assistant principal and wonderful head custodian with this project. Our students love their new seating choices and they are able to try out each one to determine which one works best for them!
