We hear from teacher and coach Ms. Sandy Stueber that Walt Whitman’s Virtual Enterprise students participated in the Long Island Regional Trade Show in January. This annual event was held at LIU Post and brought together 2,000 student participants from 80 schools for a day of trading, networking, and competitions. Students were challenged in competitions ranging from booth design, sales pitch, impact marketing, branding, and the capstone of the competition... the business plan presentation.  Our Whitman firms, Apollo Corporation, and Onward networked with students and facilitators from all over the tri-state area and even Bermuda.  It was a wonderful experience for our VE students and, along with their coach, would like to thank Principal Murphy and South Huntington’s Supervisor for Math, Technology, and Business, Dr. Matthew Murphy. The team is now focused on the International Trade Show in April!
