A little bit of basketball, dancing and a whole lot of surprising and zany antics created the perfect mix for a night of fun with the Harlem Magic Masters. Last Friday, January 25th, the Magic Masters Comedy Basketball team went head to head against the South Huntington Dream Team, a spirited group comprised of your favorite teachers, as well as a few administrators and principals just to keep things under control. This fun event raised much-needed funds that help the Booster Club to enhance the district’s athletic programs and equipment.

The Wildcat Booster Club was thrilled with this year’s turnout and thanks to the South Huntington school community for supporting one of their biggest fundraisers. The Booster Club has sponsored this event for more than 15 years and, based on the reaction from the audience, each year just keeps getting better. “It is always great to see the community come out to enjoy the evening together. Maplewood received a signed Magic Masters Basketball and bragging rights (until next year) for selling the most tickets,” said Booster Club president Ms. Jayne O’Toole. “Thank you to the staff, parents, students and all those who volunteered their time to make the event a success.”
