The term Master Teacher is used to describe someone who inspires young minds, motivates them to love learning, and helps them develop a “can-do attitude.”  Although there are numerous great teachers, the Master Teacher tends to be in a class by itself.

Our own Bob Cangero is a true Master Teacher. Bob is presently the Coordinator of Teacher Mentoring for South Huntington. He was the District’s Teacher of the Year in 1996 and retired in 2001. After being retired for a short period of time, he realized that his years of experience and expertise developed over his career should be shared with others in the field.

In 2006 he assumed his present role working with new teachers. He provides mentoring and professional training. Bob is respected by all and trusted by new staff as he supports their growth and development in their profession.

Bob will be one of three honorees at the SHEF Gala Event in the spring of 2019. Save The Date- Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at the beautiful Mansion at Oyster Bay.
