The Boys Varsity Soccer Team captured the Suffolk County Class AA Championship with a 2-1 win over Newfield on Thursday night. Roberto Alfaro got the Wildcats on the board off an assist from Jason Quintanilla. Rich Morel scored the game-winner when he blasted in a free kick with 7 minutes left in the first half. Sean Rankel made 10 saves to preserve the victory.

The Wildcats’ record stands at 17-3. The team will take on Port Washington in the Long Island Championship on Sunday at 4 P.M. at Diamond in the Pines in Coram.
