On Friday June 1st over 40 athletes from South Huntington traveled to Mitchell Field Athletic Complex to compete in the 2018 Empire State Games Victory challenge.  A variety of Track and Field events highlighted the day and our South Huntington athletes were awarded 21 gold medals, 13 silver medals, and 7 bronze medals.

“We would like to say thank you to Maureen Basedow and SEPTA, Dr. Wright, and the athletic department, and to all of the parents, teachers and coaches that made this day possible,” said Whitman PE teacher Rory Sherman.
