We offer our heartfelt congratulations to the talented students and programs that were recognized for excellence at the Hunting-Tony Awards recently. We were absolutely thrilled to see Samantha Carey win “Best Supporting Actress in a Play” for her role in the drama “The Front.” Set during the London blitz, and focusing mainly on the women left behind during WWII, the play provided wonderful opportunities for character development and Ms. Carey took full advantage of the scripts richness.

And we were not surprised that Brendon Kispert was awarded “Best Supporting Actor in a Musical.” Annie gave our Whitman thespians a wonderful opportunity to shine and Brendon’s role as Rooster Hannigan was nothing short of brilliant.

It was also inspiring to hear that our Theater Company earned a coveted Tony Award for “Best Costumes” in the play “Front.” We are so very proud of our award winners and believe in our hearts that they represent the creative soul of the South Huntington community.
