This past Saturday morning’s Miles for Michael walk/run definitely demonstrated the community’s physical and mental toughness as Wildcats young and old “pressed on” and made the most of the day. “A special thanks to Sheila Buhse and her team for going ‘above and beyond the call of duty’ in organizing this wonderful event for our school community,” said Superintendent Bennardo.  “Each year, there is a palpable sense of unity and purpose generated by Miles for Michael, which pays priceless dividends to our district.”

This annual celebration, that its originator Ms. Sheila Buhse orchestrates, has come to identify the meaningful connection that our whole community shares with one another. “Our first milestone for the Miles for Michael walk/run occurred last Saturday, said Ms. Buhse.  “It was our fifth annual celebration and the weather made sure it was a day we wouldn’t forget soon.  The rain tested us all and yet we came out as a community even stronger than we started.”

“A big thank you to our groundkeeper/maintenance and custodial staff for making sure the route stayed safe and organized as we traveled the rain-soaked route.   Much gratitude to our behind the scenes team that made sure all were registered and ready for the starting line.”

“Thanks to our BOE and administrative staff that came out in full force as did many of our building staff members.  Most of all a heartfelt thanks to each person that spent their morning supporting a cause and community that is so important.  It was OUR success.”

See you next year!
