It was the first Friday in April and that meant it was time for the annual Countrywood’s Got Talent. Thirty of Countrywood’s most talented performed their way into the hearts of the packed audience. This undertaking is the work of Countrywood music teacher Adam Slawitsky and his dedication to our littlest performers paved the way to a memorable evening. “Thank you to Mr. Slawitsky and our second-grade families who prepared their children for the annual CW’s Got Talent Show,” said Principal Barbara Kenney. “Our talented youngsters wowed the audience creating an unforgettable evening of entertainment.”

Who could forget the evenings opening performance of  ‘Hard Knock Life’ performed by Alexa and Kiara.  Dania performed ‘Don’t Let Me Down,’ and Jack had everyone laughing with a collection of jokes. Adeleana scored a 10 with her gymnastics routine, and Danny performed ‘One Call Away.’ Skylar, with the help of a tambourine performed ‘From The Day,’ and Elijah got everyone laughing with his collection of jokes.

Fiona performed ‘Beauty & The Beast,’ and Aaliyah, Genevieve, and Milan gave their rendition of ‘Fight Song.’ Jackson, Logan, and Harrison were next up with some clever Magic that the audience loved, and Makayla was perfectly costumed for her rendition of ‘Lost Boy.’ Who other than Mr. Campbell could pull off  ‘Daddy Says No,’ with the help of Madeline, Lauren, and Hannah.

Abigail proved she’s got what it takes in gymnastics, while Eli kept everyone laughing with his jokes. Charlotte choreographed a perfect number set to ‘Blank Space,’ and Julianna gave an amazing performance singing ‘Havana.’ Matthew, Aiden, and Cooper got creative and had the audience wanting more with their own version of ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling,’ and Cassie closed the evening with her rendition of the same. The evening was perfect and these talented students are sure to be in the spotlight many times in the future. Congratulations Countrywood’s Got Talent!
