Birchwood’s SBM team hosted its fourth annual “Math” The Force Be With You!  Family Math Night event on March 27th.  The mathematical energy was adding up as Birchwood students and families played math games, explored math apps on the Ipads and completed grade level mathematical challenges.  The Star Wars theme music added to the fun while students and families rotated to their next mathematical “episode.” The games consisted of participants rotating among three rooms specific to their grade level, 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade, to play mathematical games including topics such as place value and multiplication.  Students shared a mathematical learning experience with family members as well as teacher volunteers to engage in a fun and exciting event!  Birchwood students, or special agents, completed all 3 episodes full of mathematical fun and won prizes, too!
