We hear from Varsity Cheer Coach Tracy Koch that our Lady Wildcats performed with distinction at the National High School Cheerleading Championship this past weekend held at ESPN World Wide Sports in Orlando, Florida. The girls ranked 6th out of 21 top teams in the preliminary round held Saturday morning, while hitting all their stunts which ultimately advanced them to the semifinal round. The varsity cheerleading team concluded round two on Saturday night, finishing as semi-finalists, 26th in the nation out of 66 top competitive high school D1 Small Varsity teams.

Their season isn’t over yet as the Varsity Cheer team qualified for the Suffolk County Cheerleading Championships to be held at West Islip High School on Saturday, February  24th. The team received three 3rd place plaques and two 2nd place plaques throughout the season leading them to compete one last time in the postseason championship. Good luck ladies!
