Walt Whitman’s World Language teacher Aileen D'Addario is happy to share that the World Language and Art Honor Societies went on a joint field trip to see the beautiful artwork at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in early January.  Two MET tour guides gave the students an amazing tour as they took full advantage of all the cultural advantages that NYC has to offer as a way to enhance their education.

The two groups were exposed to artwork that was geared to the curriculum related to their studies at school.  As usual, it was the first time for the majority of the students to visit this cultural treasure we have so close to their homes.  At the conclusion of the visit, the students were given a Teen Pass that allows them to come back and visit as many times as they would like for the entire year as well as another pass that is a free admission to bring a friend.
