Hard Work, Dedication, and Perseverance Highlight Awards

It is with great pride that we share the news that the Suffolk County Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission’s “My Brother’s Keeper” Award was presented to: left to right– Mr. Martine Macdonald, Dr. Jared Bloom, and Mr. John Murphy. Congratulations to all three gentlemen, you all make South Huntington proud.

Congratulations to our very own Assistant Superintendent for Instruction and Curriculum, Dr. Jared Bloom; Walt Whitman High School Principal, John Murphy; and Walt Whitman HS Alumnus Martine MacDonald who were presented with the Suffolk County Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission’s “My Brother’s Keeper” Award. “We join together today to honor, acknowledge and thank the many community activists for their hard work, dedication, and perseverance– for doing the right thing,” said Ms. Leslie Anderson, Mistress of Ceremony. “This award is based on your demonstrated record of dedication to the Suffolk County Community.” The Suffolk County MLK annual awards luncheon was held on Friday, January 12, 2018.
