We hear from the Wildcat Booster Club that Walt Whitman High School and the Boys Basketball team are looking forward to hosting a “Red Hoops for Heart” game on Friday, January 19th at 6pm in the North gym.

Whitman students are partnering with the American Heart Association for this game to raise awareness and donations to help fight heart disease. Did you know that heart disease is the #1 killer of all American’s, with almost one million people dying every year?

Let’s turn the gym RED! We ask spectators wear something red. Red Hearts will decorate the walls and can be purchased with a $1 donation. All those who wear red will be given one free raffle ticket.

We will be asking for optional donations at the door. You may also help by purchasing a heart with your name on that will be on the wall in the lobby.

$1 donation = Red Heart on the wall with your name

$5 donation = Gold Heart on the wall with your name

Lastly, we will have a few raffle baskets filled with great sports items donated by the American Heart Association and the Wildcat Booster Club.

All donations go towards saving people’s lives. Please join us in making this night a big success!

Thank you, and we look forward to a great game!
