Halloween events were on display throughout the district on a very busy October 31st.  At the newly named James Kaden Administrative Offices, our SHIP Pre-schoolers were treated as they stopped into the many offices for a surprise. At Oakwood and Countrywood Primary Centers, hundreds of costumed children led huge parades as their families eagerly jockeyed for position, snapping photos of their little trick or treaters. The Stimson Middle School Band played a perfect set at Oakwood and the Walt Whitman Wind Ensemble did the same at Countrywood, providing Halloween themed music as the children circled the front of their school a couple of times to ensure everyone was able to enjoy their amazing costumes.

The costumes brought tremendous joy and laughter to the staff, students, and parents.  Later today, (4-6PM) is the always-amazing Safe Halloween at Walt Whitman High School.  South Huntington students of all ages are invited as student decorated theme rooms provide fun activities and treats for all.
