The Girls Varsity Gymnasts finished Tuesday’s meet with their highest team score. All of the girls competing put 110% into their skills and routines. Yagmur Aykanat, Danielle Harris, and Sarah Astegher received personal bests on the balance beam. Shannyn Cory’s score was a personal best on the uneven bars. Alexa Toledo and Brianna Scala scored personal bests on the floor exercise. Excellent job, ladies! Come support your Seniors and the rest of the Varsity Gymnastics team at their last home meet of the season Today! Friday at 4pm in the South Gym.

Homecoming is upon us, and we look forward to celebrating the spirit and positive energy that makes our community strong. The action continues this afternoon at 4 PM with a community carnival on the high school grounds, and we welcome elementary and pre-school parents to bring their children out for the fun. Of course, we also have our popular Homecoming Bonfire Friday night at 6PM and look forward to building game-day enthusiasm at this traditional event.

The sun then rises on what is sure to be a beautiful Saturday Homecoming morning with an expanded parade at 11:30AM that will march north on West Hills Road, east on Jericho Turnpike, south on Collins Place, west on Peachtree Lane to West Hills Road and Walt Whitman High School.  We hope you can join us on the parade route and at the 2 PM Football game, as our learning family celebrates South Huntington excellence and Wildcat Pride.
