Whitman golfers wore pink wristbands while they competed on the difficult and challenging Rock Hill course in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

On October 23rd, the Walt Whitman Golf team competed in the Section XI, League III tournament at Rock Hill Country Club, in Manorville.  Whitman golfers wore pink wristbands while they competed on the difficult and challenging Rock Hill course in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. "I am extremely proud of how our team prepared for this year’s League III tournament," said coach John Labate. “The hard work paid off when three of the six Whitman golfers qualified for the Section XI County Tournament."  Congratulations to Scott McEntee, Robert Posillico and Raymond Matuza who will be heading back to Rock Hill Country Club on October 31st to represent Walt Whitman and League III in the Section XI County Tournament.  Go luck Scott, Robert and Ray and congratulations on a job well done.
