Finding the pumpkin of their dreams made for a great morning.

Over 700 pumpkins patiently waited to find their perfect match this past Thursday at Oakwood Primary Center. On a crisp fall morning, the staff at Oakwood carefully placed each pumpkin on the backfield. On their bus ride to school that morning, students were already thinking about what pumpkin would be just right and how they might decorate their native North American squash.

And to the pumpkins' delight, kindergartners through second-graders emptied onto the fields to find the pumpkin of their dreams. As you can see from the photos, staff, students, and pumpkins all had a wonderful morning.

A big thank you to the following Oakwood staff who assisted: Tom Montalbano, Christy Stiles, Liz Sousa, Donna Farkas, Donna Finnegan, Joyce Gardner, Dana Tafe, Courtney Galano, Marriol Torres-Banegas, Melissa Renda, Joanna Baumbach, Christine LeClaire, Luella Pinelli and Joan Lay.
