Whitman varsity girl’s volleyball lost a tough match to Northport on our Dig Pink night 3 games to 2.  The girls dropped the first two sets 25-17 and 25-16 as they struggled to deal with the huge Northport block.  The girls picked up their energy and their level of play and won the third set 25-22 and the fourth set 25-17.  The girls attempted to win a five-set match after dropping the first two sets for the third time this season, but unfortunately, Northport was too tough for the girls in the fifth set, losing 25-20.  The girls showed tremendous effort fighting back from the 0-2 deficit.  Junior Ally DeGaray had 15 kills and 15 digs, Senior Libero Maelyn Latko had 17 digs and 3 aces and Freshman Amanda DeWitt had 14 kills and 7 aces.
