Bailey Whitney is the new art teacher at Countrywood Primary School. Bailey completed both her undergraduate and graduate work at Hofstra University. She reports that she grew up,”…drawing, dancing, singing and playing instruments in (her) free time…” as well as performing in many musical and theater productions.

As we all know, both music and art are extremely important for all children, but even more so with primary school students. Thanks to the traditions established by the talented retired art teacher Carol Davis, Countrywood has come to expect an exceptionally creative learning environment.

After numerous resumes were screened a team of teachers and administrators interviewed qualified candidates, one candidate stood out among the rest. Both the school and the South Huntington Union Free School District are excited to welcome Bailey Whitney as she begins her work at Countrywood Primary School.
