On Thursday, June 15, Oakwood had a wonderful Concert in the Park with their Safe- Respectful- and Responsible (SRR) Celebration. The morning's beautiful weather boosted student’s enthusiasm as they assembled on the backfield for a great performance by the talented  “Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could.”  The group led students in a fun and event filled morning that included lots of dancing.

In addition, our Student Council representatives on each grade level receive certificates, and SRR Awards and medals were presented to many children. The following award certificates were given:

Office of the Suffolk County Executive, Steven Bellone Public Service Award for academic success and commitment to the community: Connor Umstead

New York State Comptroller, Thomas DiNapoli Achievement Award: Briana Flores Benavides and Landon Forlenza

The Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman “Triple C Award” for Commitment, Character and Courage: Josselin Ventura Romero and Rehan Naseer

Wildcat Sports Camp Scholarship: Molly Gorman and Jarone Park

Victory Challenge Medal: Justin Olivares
