Congratulations Girls Varsity Badminton: The Team was at Individual Counties yesterday. Mabel Bassi earned Honorable Mention All-League. Casey Leonick, Eileen Carmichael and Christina Bogdani earned All-League. Mae Latko and Lauren Brown won their first 2 matches and have earned All-County honors. Latko and Brown return to the finals today to try and become County Champs.

Prior Post: The Girls Varsity Badminton team faced off against the defending County champ; Half Hollow Hills the other day.  In an epic battle, where 6 of the 9 matches went to extra sets, Whitman came out with the victory 5-4.  This was their 15th win on the season - a new Whitman record!  The girls end the season ranked 2nd in Suffolk County and in the top 5 on Long Island.  Outstanding performers were Mae Latko, Lauren Brown, Christina Bogdani, Eileen Carmichael, Ally Wirth, Shailee Patel, Taylor Martino, Kelly O'Neill, Mabel Bassi and Katherine Gotard.  The Lady Wildcats will face Hills again in the playoffs.
